The Feria Iberoamericana de Arte, FIA opened in 1992 in the city of Caracas, Venezuela, joining together in the same space and at the same time the most important masters as well as the newest worldwide art trends, represented by national and international galleries. Thereafter, art galleries, collectors, curators, museum directors and the general public await for the month of June to enjoy and appreciate the best art.

During the past eighteen years over two hundred galleries have participated in FIA, presenting an endless number of artists and avant-garde propositions. Among FIA´s special guests have been renowned artists such as Jesús Soto, Carmen Calvo, Jaume Plensa, Vik Muniz, Joan Fontcuberta, Darío Escobar, Luis González Palma, Edgar Negret, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Arnaldo Roche Ravell and Cecilia Paredes.

In addition to the fair, The Salón Jóvenes con FIA, featuring twelve editions, constitutes one of the most interesting proposals for emerging artists in the last two decades. Also, seven editions of Latin American photography, discussion panels and urban art on the street are few of the activities held within the frame of FIA.
